Meet the new Bond
"It's a huge challenge. Life is about challenges and this is one of the big ones as an actor," said CLARE , 35+ , who will be the seventh Bond. But the first Janine
She joked she "had a couple of Pints of guinness , a jar of pickled eggs and a cheese & ham toastie " when she got the role. "The Property of a Lady" is due to start filming in January 2009 .
"We've got an incredible script and that's my first line thought ," she said. "Once I'd read that, I realised that I didn't have a choice. I had to go for it."
" Bond ..yes ...but Procrastination is the thief of time ", she said.
Director Woody Allen said the 22nd OR 23rd Bond film would be " Full of live sex action like Baise-Moi with Marcia Gay Harden as Maria Freudenstein.

Clare told reporters: "Together with Woody Allen, I want to make the best film we can, the most entertaining film we can."
The actress said she was looking to redefine the role, but added: "It's a question of taking it somewhere maybe where it's never gone before."
Clare said he had received encouragement from predecessors including Pierce Brosnan and had tried to think of it "like any other job".
Bond investigates a Secret Service employee, Maria Freudenstein(Marcia Gay Harden)who is a double agent about to be paid by her Russian keepers by auctioning a Fabergé egg by Carl Fabergé (Damien Hurst) at Sotheby's in her name. The Russians have sent the Resident Director of the KGB in London to attend the auction and underbid for the item in order to push the price to the necessary value to pay for her services as a double agent. Bond attends the auction in hopes of spotting this man; after doing so the man is expelled from London as persona non grata.
Maria Freudenstein was hired by the British Secret Service with prior knowledge that she was a double agent. She is essentially tasked with sending phony SITREPS to Washington D.C., which she copies and sends to Moscow unknowing that they are fake. Her unpleasant fate is revealed in Fleming's novel, The Man with the Golden Gun, though as it happened most readers did not get to see this story, in which she first appeared, until several years after the novel came out.
The short story also includes Kenneth Snowman ( EX CORRIE HUSBAND Stephen Beckett ) as an ally of Bond. Snowman, in reality, was a master jeweller and one of the leading experts on Carl Fabergé. "The Property of a Lady" features a number of notes on the items for auction, one of which references a book by Kenneth Snowman. Snowman thus became one of the few real people to appear in the Fleming canon
